FRIDAY, 1ST JULY 2011
Grasslands National Park sponsored a Canada Day outing for children and their parents, concluding with ice cream and cake at Prairie Wind & Silver Sage.

WEDNESDAY, 22nd JUNE 2011, 7:30 pM
Acclaimed poet Thelma Poirier’s reading (primarily from her recent book of poetry, Rock Creek Blues), was a big success. Colin Schmidt introduced her to well over 20 people, both visitors and local residents.
   Copies of Thelma’s book are available at PWSS, as well a through her publisher, Coteau Books.

TUESDAY, 28th JUNE 2011, 7:30 pM
Emmy award winning Gordon Hempton, soundtracker, presented a Soundscape Event featuring acoustic portraits from Grasslands National Park. Over 30 people attended this exception presentation.


HOURS
Our season runs from eary May to late September.

SPRING/SUMMER HOURS:
7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm
Closed 1 hour for lunch (hour may vary)

Please note that our staff needs a break, too! If you arrive shortly before the lunch break is scheduled, we have a comfortable bench outside where you can take your beverage and treat. Just leave the cup on the doorstep. Return to look at the displays and store when we reopen!

Prairie Wind & Silver Sage is located in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, a heartbeat from Grasslands National Park. We are in the Little Brick Schoolhouse, on Centre Street across from the Park Visitor’s centre
