– the evening will include a special presentation on eco museums and options for the future of Prairie Wind & Silver Sage by Glenn Sutter, as well as reports and elections

The introduction to the relatively new concept of eco museum is open to members of the Saskatchewan museums community.

Prairie Wind & Silver Sage provides several services for the park, the community, and visitors.

Take in one of the art exhibits that will be showing this summer, while enjoying an espresso and delicious treat from Prairie Ground internet cafe.

Our natural history museum, formerly under the direction of Ken Jensen, is an excellent resource on the natural environment of southwestern Saskatchewan that is sure to deepen your appreciation of the area. Indigenous and ranching cultures are also represented.

Our bookstore offers well-selected titles for all ages that will add to your understanding and enjoyment of this special environment.

Our gift shop offers a variety of fun, interesting, and beautifully crafted items — many of them locally made.

HOURS
Our season runs from early May to late September.

SPRING/SUMMER HOURS:
7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm.

Lunch break: please note that our staff needs a break, too! If you arrive shortly before the lunch break is scheduled, we have a comfortable bench outside where you can take your beverage and treat. Just leave the cup on the doorstep. Return to look at the displays and store when we reopen!

Groups: when possible, groups of 5+ are advised to contact Prairie Wind prior to arrival to allow us to serve you better. Call 306 298-4910.


LOCATION
Prairie Wind & Silver Sage is located in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, a heartbeat from Grasslands National Park. We are in the Little Brick Schoolhouse, on Centre Street across from the Park Visitor’s centre
